Description rvernica 2018-04-07 16:22:36 UTC
I'm using Fedora 27 with the latest updates and GNOME Terminal 3.26.2. In GNOME Tweaks I set Windows > Titlebar Actions > Double-Click: Toggle Maximize Vertically. This feature works fine on any other programs I use, Mozilla Firefox, GNU Emacs, etc.

In GNOME Terminal it does not work. If I double-click on the titlebar, the window will be fully maximized. I should only maximize vertically.

What's more interesting is that I have another system with the same software versions and there GNOME Terminal works as expected. So, I won't be surprised if you can't reproduce this right away.

So I wonder if there are some local configurations or settings that I have on one of the systems and not the other.

gtk+ doesn't support directional maximisation with CSD.
