GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 794980
Broken markup in eog help translation
Last modified: 2018-04-09 19:56:21 UTC
There's unneeded markup in the following translated string from eog's help manual: https://git.gnome.org/browse/eog/tree/help/fr/fr.po?id=3952b7027e4d1f2fcc3ee6f4a19f4312778ad38a#n1155 #. (itstool) path: page/p #: C/license.page:12 msgid "" "This work is distributed under a CreativeCommons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 " "Unported license." msgstr "" "Cette œuvre est distribuée sous licence Creative Commons Paternité-Partage " "dans les Mêmes Conditions 3.0 non transposé </link>." This extra "</link>" causes the string to be untranslated while also emitting a warning during eog's build.
Just fixed it in master. I also noticed <gui> is used instead of <app> in places, and the reverse too, in the original. Could you look into that?
Thanks! I opened a followup ticket for the <gui> vs. <app> case: bug 795112 So far I could only find one case where <gui> was used where probably <app> should've been used. It gets a bit confusing in default.page where it jumps between talking about the application and an equally named GUI label, but it looks okay to me.
