GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 79489
panel Crashes, But Only on First Login
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: gnome-panel Severity: major Version: 1.4.0.4 Synopsis: panel Crashes, But Only on First Login Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: Panel Description: When logging in after booting panel typically crashes, say about 80% of the time. If I kill gnome-session from a Terminal to log-out and then log in again everything works fine. I'd guess it's a subtle timing issue since loading the gnome components is much faster on subsequent logins since they don't have to be loaded into memory from disc.
