Description Milan Crha 2018-03-05 08:39:37 UTC
It would be helpful if the "GNOME Translation Robot <gnome-sysadmin@gnome.org>" could never be a commit author. Like here:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution-data-server/commit/?id=b5fdfddb1eabb7fab2c8cebf27561fbf525c110b
where both the author and the commit are this robot, instead of a real person. There was another change made a day earlier
https://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution-data-server/commit/?id=5b7bc7d79e931e0573c92ab8de2c40cb45bd317e
, which confuses me too. Note that both commits seems to be done by different people.

I use the author to identify and credit the translators in the NEWS file, which is good to do, from my point of view.

That user is the one damned-lies web UI commits use behind the scenes. Claude, is there anything we can do to have the real author of the commit appearing on the author field?

Thanks for the report. This was just fixed yesterday.
