GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 793953
crash (SIGSEGV) when unloading zeitgeist plugin with one file loaded
Last modified: 2020-11-24 10:17:08 UTC
Created attachment 369145 [details] gdb backtrace of the crash I get a crash (SIGSEGV) in gedit when unloading the zeitgeist plugin with one file loaded. It does not happen when no files are open or a new unsaved document is open. I am using gedit 3.22.1-3, zeitgeist 1.0-0.2 and GNOME 3.26 on Debian buster. If the below gdb backtrace and the attached full gdb backtrace isn't useful, please close this bug. Thread 1 "gedit" received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x00007fffdf76a444 in zeitgeist_queued_proxy_wrapper_wait_for_proxy_co (_data_=0x555556b7c6c0) at queued-proxy-wrapper.c:377 377 queued-proxy-wrapper.c: No such file or directory.

This issue still occurs with version 3.30.1-1 of gedit and the zeitgeist plugin.
Mass-closing of all gedit-plugins bugzilla tickets. Special "code" to find again all those gedit-plugins bugzilla tickets that were open before the mass-closing: 2bfe1b0590a78457e1f1a6a90fb975f5878cb60064ccfe1d7db76ca0da52f0f3 By searching the above sha256sum in bugzilla, the gedit contributors can find again the tickets. We may be interested to do so when we work on a specific area of the code, to at least know the known problems and possible enhancements. We do this mass-closing because bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org.
