Please archive the module at https://git.gnome.org/browse/contacts/ (not to be confused with https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-contacts which is still active). That module has been dead for years, even translation commits are sparse.

I have no clue whether there is an associated bugzilla product or anything else that will need to be closed as well.

Done. BZ product not accepting new bugs. Passing over to l10n maintainers for archiving the relevant module [1].
