This happens on macOS with blu-ray rips containting subtitle tracks. The issue seems to be in subtitleoverlay.

Subtitles seem to work with my Sintel matroska file though. But I think that one uses a different format.

I tested this again with git HEAD. Actually if I use playbin3 there is no issue! \o/

With playbin(2), matroskademux now errors out. I'll attach a log file.
