Hello,

from reading the bug report I don't understand if the main window is opened or not if format is done with Nautilus. This should be the behavior since Nautilus is not showing the device at all during operation.

The related bug report is about leaving GNOME Disks running without the main window by using appropriate GNOME Shell notifications. This could also be used to avoid opening the main window during formatting, but for now that's not implemented.

So, that the main window is not shown is maybe related to Mir?

Regards,
Kai
