Description Michael Catanzaro 2017-11-22 23:28:46 UTC
First problem is that sometimes the app freezes, and any key you typed gets repeated. For instance, if I type duckduckgo.com it could become duckkkkkduckgo.com even though I did not mistype. Not clear to me if it's Dzl's fault of Epiphany's fault, but it's a regression from this change.

Well, at least I think it's a regression from DzlSuggestionEntry. Christian thinks it's probably caused by system load, e.g. me compiling WebKit, causing gnome-shell to not deliver key release events in time. This makes me wonder if it's really a problem with DzlSuggestionEntry or not, but it's quite frustrating and I really don't think I've seen this issue before switching to DzlSuggestionEntry, so I'll file it away here for now.

Nope, it happens when I have no applications open other than Epiphany. Perhaps it happens more often when under load, though. Dunno.

This is an issue that appears also in other applications using wayland. Couldn't reproduce it with Epiphany yet.

Yes... nowadays this happens to me in all applications. I think it's a regression somewhere else, which is a shame, because not too long ago this did not regularly happen. :(
