See summary. pulsesink has a copy of the relevant code, which is currently doing nearest-neighbour resampling.

audiobasesink also should use GstAudioResampler for resample-slaving.

This needs support for reverse resampling in audioresampler, and optionally reversing the samples. Should be relatively easy to add
