This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Once that release is available, you may want to check for a software upgrade provided by your Linux distribution.

I’ve already updated the METAR code. I’ll leave the review of the new coordinates to the libgweather maintainer.

Note that this translation string doesn’t exist anymore (and I’m not sure if these po/es_XX.po files are needed nowadays either).

When checking coordinates with https://osm.org the old one truly point somewhere to the middle of Quito, whereas the new points to the middle of runway.

The METAR code was already changed, and the translations was also already changed:
msgid "('', 'KNYC', nothing)"
msgstr "('', 'SEQM', nothing)"
