before and after image

Each time I maximize then unmaximize gnome-terminal, the window shrinks to a smaller size.  

I attached an image of before and after 4 maximizes and unmaximizes.  The shrinkage is highlighted in red.

This is only occurring in Wayland.  I just logged out and back in with Xorg to test it.
