Description Brian Nitz 2002-04-17 14:55:54 UTC
If I attempt to move an item from a nautilus folder which resides on a
cdrom, the "Switch to Manual Layout?" dialog appears saying "This folder
uses automatic layout. Do you want to switch to manual layout and leave
this item where you dropped it?"

Clicking No restores the item to its original position.
Clicking Yes changes the mouse to a +] type cursor and disables mouse
focus. The user must then log in remotely to kill nautilus.

This is reproducable on Beta3 Solaris and Linux.

The problem appears to go away after nautilus is restarted.

After clearing my .thumbnails and installing last nights CVS tip
build, I can no longer reproduce this problem.
Comment 2 Luis Villa 2002-04-18 18:35:39 UTC
Brian: I think maybe we should actually leave this open, at least if
you can tell us what the permissions where on the thumbnails when you
recreated the problem. We shouldn't hang in that situation.
