GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 788850
SVG files do not render properly in GIMP - Distorted SVG Imports
Last modified: 2017-10-17 20:06:02 UTC
Created attachment 361371 [details] Problem Steps Recorder-generated debugging info and slideshow. SVG files are rendering up distorted when importing into GIMP using the "Render Scalable Vector Graphics" tool built-into GIMP. Please see the attached files, including a Problem Steps Recorder-generated file in Windows 10, for full details and debugging info.
Created attachment 361372 [details] MSINFO32 output Full system info as attached .nfo file.
The original SVG file (or one with a similar problem) and a screenshot of the wrong rendering would probably be more accessible. I'm not even sure if browsers other than IE (and platforms other than Windows) can be used to view PSR's .mht files...
Created attachment 361373 [details] Original SVG file (Attached, compressed as ZIP) Original SVG file.
Created attachment 361374 [details] Output .XCF file (Attached, compressed as ZIP) Output .XCF file from GIMP, rendered using "Render Scalable Vector Graphics" tool included in GIMP 2.8.x.

See the attached files above. :)
Created attachment 361380 [details] Problem Steps Recorder-generated debugging info and slideshow, RE-EXPORT AS .HTM. Universal HTML/.HTM document converted from IE-Only MHTML. Can be opened in most modern-day web browsers such as Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. Please view the original non-converted attachment at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=361371, generated from PSR.exe, when possible, because this converted .HTM file may contain errors caused by re-export.
I removed the keywords here too. Please read their exact meaning in the link Schumaml gave earlier: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/describekeywords.cgi These are meant to be added by developers or ui-review team and should not be used lightly. Thanks! :-)
Jeb, you imported 2400x2400 into a 2048x2048 image, which cropped the edges. With attachment 361374 [details], do 'Image/Fit Canvas to Layers' to see the whole thing. As for the weird hump at the top left, I can confirm that's caused by bug 783867.
So this would be NOTABUG then?
