GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 788751
Lock screen cover can't be dismissed with a double-click
Last modified: 2021-07-05 14:47:27 UTC
Lock screen cover can't be dismissed with a double-click. Alternatively: feature request for allowing double-click to dismiss the cover. Demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIUq196KnVg The lock screen cover can't be dismissed with a double-click or double-tap. The only methods to dismiss it is by pressing a keyboard key or dragging the mouse up while holding click, the latter of which is unintuitive for desktops. As is intuitive, and as other products have done, such as Windows 10 and LG phones, the cover should be dismissable with a double-click or a double-tap of the screen. This should be given Enhancement severity. Tested on Ubuntu 17.10 64-bit Beta2 Artful Aardvark, gnome-shell/artful, now 3.26.1-0ubuntu1 amd64 [installed] Downstream Bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1722004
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled). If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version, then please follow https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines and create a new ticket at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/ Thank you for your understanding and your help.
