Description ps 2017-09-19 14:40:55 UTC
Hello,

evince window is way too large (horizontally) and it is pain to work with it at the moment esp. if you need to switch between many pdfs.

As I understood from other bug reports this is intentional, because of the toolbar size. I see that this could cause button invisibility problems for some unskilled users, but to punish everyone else in the universe by this workaround rather than real fix of toolbar behaviour seems unfair :)

Would you consider at least to introduce some hidden setting (it does not matter if via general gnome settings or other way) which would allow power users to do any resizing they wish?

Rather than intentional, it is consequence of using GtkHeaderBar.

Once Bug 737239 and/or Bug 732289 are fixed, it should not be an issue anymore.
Marking as duplicate of the former.
