Description Jeremy Bicha 2017-08-31 02:54:38 UTC
gnome-disk-utility 3.25.91

According to the license embedded in this file, it is available under the CC-BY-NC-SA 3.0 license. Because of the restrictions on non-commercial use, that license is not acceptable for distribution in free software distros.

https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-disk-utility/tree/data/icons/hicolor/src/gnome-disks.svg#n2948

But on line 2974, it is licensed as LGPLv3/CCBYSAv3.

Please clarify the license of the file.

It looks like you can just remove lines 2947-2948 and keep line 2974.

Fix license link in logo SVG metadata

Hello,

thanks for reporting, the author confirmed that NC does not apply.
I would fix the link for the correct CC license instead of removing it.

Regards,
Kai

I am not a license expert, but it makes sense if it was discussed with the author...
