Description Jeremy Bicha 2017-08-24 02:53:53 UTC
I'm not sure if this is a gtk bug or a gedit bug.

gtk 3.22.19 added an emoji chooser. I can activate it from gedit's search field by right-clicking in the field and choosing Insert Emoji. I would like to be able to insert Emoji into the main text area too.

Sounds like this issue concerns GtkSourceView.

This was fixed in
https://git.gnome.org/browse/gtk+/commit/?h=gtk-3-22&id=f922aee

which will be released in GTK+ 3.22.27
