GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 786052
notification appears on the lock screen with no detail
Last modified: 2019-03-20 11:46:40 UTC
The bug has been reported on Ubuntu against 3.24.2 "I locked my laptop screen. Some time later a notification appeared (see screenshot). "Power" "1 new notification" If I move the mouse the notification disappears. If I unlock the laptop there are no notifications pending anywhere. I have no idea where this text comes from or what it means. Is my battery low? is it full? Is there some other issue?" Screenshot of the notification https://launchpadlibrarian.net/332343492/IMG_20170807_225734.jpg The user got a dbus log showing that the notification is the one about "the computer is going to suspend due to inactivity" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1709194/comments/3
This needs an overhaul, see bug 758706.
