Double display mode in Single-Window Mode

GIMP 2.9.5 (Git), View -> New View
In the Single-Window Mode, it is difficult to observe "New View".

I assume a Double display mode like the file browser.
A vertical border can drag left and right to change the window size.

Just imagine :)
Please see the effect picture in the attachment.

I'm pretty sure we must have this proposition in another bug report, and in any case this has been discussed many times, so we don't need to image. We agree. ;-)

That goes together with the fact I always say we should not have a single vs multi window mode dichotomy. A single customizable mode which can do everything is the way things should go from now on IMO.
