Could you provide a few more details, like distribution, distribution
version, GNOME packages (vanilla distribution packages, packages from
gnome.org, Ximian GNOME, etc.)?  The bug this is a duplicate of is a
bit of a mystery, and any information would help.

I'm running Red Hat Linux 7.2, with the 2.4.7-10 kernel. I got the
latest version of GNOME off the Ximian site about two weeks ago, but
I'm not sure what version it is.
