Description Andreas Nilsson 2017-07-25 21:21:53 UTC
I'm trying to run the Nightly build of Documents from flatpak.org/apps.html, but when I try to launch it, I get an error message saying "Unsatisfied dependency: Tracker"

Yes, I was about to say that. Does it run if you update the nightly Flatpak?
Comment 3 Andreas Nilsson 2017-09-14 11:11:40 UTC
I updated to the latest and I got:

Tracker-Message: Could not get mtime for 'file:///home/andreasn/.var/app/org.gnome.Documents/cache/tracker/meta.db': Error when getting information for file “/home/andreasn/.var/app/org.gnome.Documents/cache/tracker/meta.db”: No such file or directory

(org.gnome.Documents:2): Tracker-WARNING **: Falling back to bus backend, the direct backend failed to initialize: Could not open sqlite3 database:'/home/andreasn/.var/app/org.gnome.Documents/cache/tracker/meta.db': unable to open database file

(org.gnome.Documents:2): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema 'org.freedesktop.Tracker.Miner.Files' is not installed

I think I saw something similar in gnome-photos a while ago, but after updating photos, it works as it should. Maybe this is due to Documents not having this fix? https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-photos/commit/?id=66c4e62b67a4886cc5d60ebb0d9786fdc86e4929

Yes, you are right. It broke after the tracker/tracker-miners split. Got to give some love to the gnome-documents Flatpaks.
Comment 5 Bastien Nocera 2017-09-14 11:40:36 UTC
Can you please update the gnome-books Flatpak definition as well?
Comment 6 Debarshi Ray 2017-09-14 12:18:11 UTC
Yes, sure, I'll take care of both applications.
