Description Stephen 2017-07-07 18:16:39 UTC
First off, thanks very much Milan for implementing aliases in 3.24... so much nicer not having to add dummy "send-only" accounts to mimic aliases any more :D

I personally know that the alias field supports either name@example.com or Display Name <name@example.com>, having read the implementation bug (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=605416), but it's not obvious from looking at the (free-form) input field, and it's not in the help docs either at the moment.

A quick fix might be to put placeholder text behind the input field when the user clicks "Add" (if that's possible?) with examples of the two formats.

The help docs also need to be updated at some point.
