GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 783851
po header got reordered
Last modified: 2017-11-22 07:34:07 UTC
for example https://git.gnome.org/browse/glom/plain/examples/po_files/example_film_manager/en_GB.po differs to https://l10n.gnome.org/POT/glom.master/example_film_manager.master.en_GB.po
Which problems does this create? Or basically: Why do you care? :)
(In reply to André Klapper from comment #1) > Which problems does this create? > Or basically: Why do you care? :) msgfmt didn't issue any error, but when I used those DL's generated files instead of original from git, Poedit cant use them to seed translation memory.
That sounds like a bug in Poedit to me.
That's not a Damned Lies issue, you can reproduce that by running: msgmerge --previous -o test.po examples/po_files/example_film_manager/en_GB.po examples/po_files/example_film_manager/example_film_manager.pot The problem is a superfluous "\n" at the end of the first Report-Msgid-Bugs-To line in the committed POT file. If the next line continues the first, then it should not end with "\n".
Created attachment 353925 [details] [review] Fix Report-Msgid-Bugs-To in exported .po headers This patch + regenerating .pot files should solve the issue.
Please feel free to commit this.
