GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 783728
missing key bindings on alt-space menu
Last modified: 2017-06-13 08:08:43 UTC
When typing ALT + SPACE in GNOME, I get a nice menu with options like Minimize, Maximize, etc. However, there are no key bindings for that menu, which breaks years of muscle memory across Windows, Unity, old GNOME 2, etc. It should be simple ALT + SPACE + X for maximise ALT + SPACE + N for minimise and so on. I can get a full list of the options if required, but these two are very common. There is clearly no clash arising from implementing these keystrokes; a context menu is already active, and there just need to be some bindings associated to the menu items.
