Description Ben Liblit 2002-04-10 22:08:47 UTC
Float the mouse over the drivemount applet long enough for a tooltip to
appear. Using the left mouse button, begin a drag. Drop the drive image
anywhere; it doesn't seem to matter whether the drop is accepted or not.
Observe that the tooltip is still visible, and will remain visible
indefinitely.

Version details: this bug is observed using
gnome-applets2-1.98.0.0.200204090422-0.snap.ximian.1, installed via
Ximian's Red Carpet.
Comment 2 Daniel Borgmann 2002-08-01 20:49:10 UTC
There is a similar problem with the workspace switcher (and probably
some other applets?):
Drag the workspace switcher via middle mouse button after tooltip
appeared. Release the mousebutton above desktop and tooltip won't
disappear. For other applets like the Disk Mounter, the tooltip
disappears as soon as I press the middle mouse button.
Comment 3 Andrew Sobala 2002-08-13 19:51:43 UTC
I can reproduce this with the workspace switcher, but not with disk
mounter

Moving to gnome-panel, since it's probably the source of the problem

Seems fixed in 2.3.x.
