User interface showing unreadable commit message

The contrast between the text and the background in the commit-message area of gitg renders the text unreadable.

with a dark background theme, the red/green highlight in diffs is also unreadable.

It is _essential_ that these colors be changeable in preferences. The gui is simply unusable otherwise.
