GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 78254
Provide feature for proxy authorisation
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Firewall has been set in our organisation. In order to browse through the internet, we have been given a user-id and password. For every internet connection, we should give this user-id and password for validation. Only on successful authorisation, we are allowed to browse through internet. Similar configuration might have been done in customer place also. In such case, gnome-dictionary should have a provision for specifying the user-id and password in some configuration files or atleast it should prompt the user. Current gnome-dictionary is lagging this feature.
Sorry, by mistake I gave gdialog as the component. I am correcting to gdict.
wipro: It would be really helpful (especially for small products like gdict) if you could at least make minimal effort to ensure your bugs are not duplicates before you file them. Even a very minimal search on 'gdict' and 'proxy' would have turned this bug up. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 77734 ***
