When you start a laptop with its lid closed and an external monitor connected, the login screen should appear on the external monitor. But it doesn't in 3.22 and 3.24 and it's a regression from previous releases where it worked.

I'm running Fedora, it occurs on both F25 and F26.

The issue seems to be lower in the stack because upower reports a wrong value for the lid status. Once you open the lid it starts reporting it correctly again.
