Description berserk82.ia 2017-05-07 10:27:57 UTC
Hello there.
My name is Ivano Arrighetta and I'm Italian.
I would like to suggest to migrate to GitHub for version control, and to use CMake for creating build projects for Windows and Mac OS, other than Makefiles for *nix.
GitHub also offers a WebSite builder and a Wiki for each repository, other than an issue tracker.

I'm pretty sure everyone would benefit from this.

Bye, Ivano.

We are not convinced that GitHub is a better or safer service.

Nor are we convinced that CMake is an inherently better build system.

We already have a wiki.

We don't need another website builder.

GNOME is considering to move to a different infrastructure there - https://wiki.gnome.org/Initiatives/DevelopmentInfrastructure

Any effort spent on discussing this should happen around their efforts (after reading and understanding everything that has been discussed already), and not be split into a GIMP-only approach.
