Description Felipe Borges 2017-05-01 12:09:24 UTC
It might be quite frustrating to open the Storage page and wait dozens of seconds for something useful to show besides the spinner.

IMO, we should populate the view as the filesystem gets crawled.

I mean we can populate list dynamically and scanning
Comment 2 Petr Štětka 2017-05-03 14:36:27 UTC
I accidentally sent unwritten comment.

So, I think we could populate the list immediately, just do not show the folder size until we know it.

And graph we can too draw dynamically for items for which we know the size, and continuously update him.

This would be really cool!
Comment 4 André Klapper 2021-05-25 17:31:55 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-usage/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
