Description Karl 2017-04-19 17:24:02 UTC
Every couple of weeks or so, I start Gimp, and then it sits there for a VERY long time loading fonts. I get up and go do something else while my computer's fan goes into overdrive. Photoshop doesn't do this.

I wouldn't care so much if it didn't keep happening. I don't even care about or use fonts (aside from Helvetica), which makes this even more aggravating.

This is on a Macbook pro running Sierra.

Yes, a variant of this bug has been reported, but in this case it keeps happening again and again, not just on first launch.

Do you use something that cleans out temporary directories?
Comment 4 Karl 2017-04-20 03:30:55 UTC
No. Just a regular macos.
