Description Mike 2017-04-13 02:07:03 UTC
The first thing I did after installing Gimp. I went and tried to open one of my images thatI created in Photoshop CC. Guess what, I can't even open up one of my 200+ thousand's images.

You ask me why I couldn't open an image? Very simple, my images are on my NAS Server on my local network. I don't even have one image on my workstation. Gimp will not go to a network drive to retrieve an image.

A tempory solution. I map my image folder on my NAS Server as a physical drive on my workstation.

Shouldn't have to do this.
Comment 2 Michael Schumacher 2017-04-13 07:31:29 UTC
This is likely related to GTK+ bug 329203 and bug 576773.

Also I assume this will work fine in GIMP 2.10, with the port to GIO and all that.
