Description Alexandre Franke 2017-04-07 10:19:00 UTC
When using the scroll wheel over the volume icon in the status area (no clicking to expand the menu) the volume gets adjusted. There is however no visual feedback of the change or the current level. This could be fixed by showing the OSD that is displayed when using volume keys.

volume: Show OSD popup when changing volume via scroll

It is possible to use the scroll wheel to adjust the volume without
opening the system menu, but there is no feedback other than the
icon itself in that case. To provide a less coarse indication for
the volume level, display the OSD window when adjusting the volume
while the slider isn't visible.

Whoops, I could have sworn I had attached this, but turns out it was just sitting in my local tree :-(
