Description Carlos Soriano 2017-04-07 08:06:54 UTC
Tracker bug for the first experience and regular development for newcomers.
So we can track the gotchas and some improvements we could have in here.

Hope you don't mind :D

Important ones are:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=780683 - Build application doesn't correspond to the ran application
It can hose the whole experience and prevent you from developing. Workaround is to remove ~/.cache/gnome-builder and $projectpath/.flatpak-builder, kinda like a hard whole clean up.
This needs more investigation from me.

whops, I click submit by accident.

Continuing with the important ones:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=781015 - Provide terminal with flatpak-builder --run enviroment for debugging with gdb or other tasks
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=780154 - Add a "Open terminal in flatpak enviroment" menu item

This is important to be able to shortcome current issues and gotchas for the upcoming months, apart of debugging without a graphical debugger.

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=780148 - Clean options doesn't find ninja.build while building with flatpak
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=781016 - Provide a way for hard clean all related to a project (~/.cache/gnome-builder + %projectdir/.flatpak-builder + meson/autotools clean)

This is important to overcome building issues with Flatpak and Builder. Alternative is to do it manually.
