Confirmed with Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 and Fedora 26 Alpha
Both distros are using gdk-pixbuf 2.36.5 (latest is 2.36.6)

I'm attaching a sample .svg. I got it from Debian's nestopia package where it is apparently licensed as GPL-2.0+

With GNOME 3.22, nautilus displays the thumbnail for the file. With GNOME 3.24, there is no thumbnail.

I assume this is fallout from
