Description Robert Orzanna 2017-03-24 21:47:17 UTC
Dear all,

Please correct me if I am wrong.

On Reddit, it was suggested to me [1] to raise this request here as Unity is a fork of the Gnome Shell.

I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions on an optional auto-hide feature for the top bar in Unity, and therein included probably Gnome Shell as well.

If this is the wrong place to have this conversation, please accept my apologies.

In this case, I look forward to hearing where to best place my request.

Yours,

Robert

No, Unity was never based on mutter/gnome-shell. So even if we wanted to add auto-hiding to the top bar, it would have absolutely no effect on Unity.

Thank you Florian.

I will raise this request directly on the Ubuntu Launchpad then.

Yours,
