GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 779185
Change of HBCI server URL
Last modified: 2018-06-29 23:54:49 UTC
For the bank "Sparkasse Saarbrücken (BLZ 59050101) the HBCI server URL and version has changed last autumn: HBCI: v3.0 URL: https://banking-sl2.s-fints-pt-sl.de/fints30 KR Oliver
The string "Sparkasse Saarbrücken" does not appear in GnuCash, AQBanking, or Gwenhywfar code. Why do you think that it's not user-supplied data?

That's user-supplied data. In other words, you either typed it in yourself or retrieved it from an external website via the AQBanking setup assistant.

OK, I finally tracked down where the data's coming from; it's in a compressed tarball inside the AQBanking distribution, and it hasn't been updated in a couple of years. You can report the problem to the AQBanking developer at https://git.aqbanking.de/trac/aqbanking/newticket
thanks - that I already did in parallel. So, case closed here.
Notes: Martin made the last update at 2015-05-25. In between Europe switched to SEPA resulting in changed URLs, file names and formats. I will report the details to Olivers new ticket https://git.aqbanking.de/trac/aqbanking/ticket/286 John, did you got rejected by www.fededirectory.frb.org, too?
Frank, I get ERR_CONNECTION_RESET on that URL. That suggests that they might be down for maintenance. I don't think that including the bank data in the AQB sources is a good approach. It would be much better to have it on a website where AQB could do lookups; the website data could even be crowd-sourced so that Martin's not completely on the hook for keeping it up-to-date.
