Description Pavlo Solntsev 2017-02-23 01:37:26 UTC
Hi,

Couple suggestions:
1) Move "Add event" button in Year view from bottom to top. It should improve usability. We read from top to down and the mentioned button is basically invisible on HD screens.
2) Single click on a day in Year view should give us new event response.

I am trying to be more active in Gnome apps and may try to implement these requests by myself as part of my learning process. Let me know if my suggestions are valuable, otherwise close the bug.

Thanks.

mockups

I was pointed to this screenshot yesterday - http://pasteboard.co/M8RA5VtT.png

I agree that the button will be hard to notice here. I'm attaching a couple of possible solutions.

I think option on the left is the good one. The button should not be under the event list. I will try to implement it, if you don't mind.

Proposed patch

Please review the proposed patch. I am not good yet at button style. I would prefer to make it more "round" and leave some space around. Maybe 2px.

Thanks for your patch! And sorry for the delay...

This patch does not implement the proposed mockup. It needs to put 2 buttons in different locations.
Comment 6 Pavlo Solntsev 2017-08-19 02:37:23 UTC
Sorry, I didn't get it. The mockup proposes two options for the button position. There is only one button of interest. Could you please provide the final mockup? I see misunderstanding here. Thanks.
