GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 778936
Mouse scrolling doesnt work with Wacom LeftStripe and RightStripe
Last modified: 2021-06-09 16:31:06 UTC
Gnome seems to overwrite the default behavior of the Wacom key mapping. Button 4 and 5 are not supported for mapping mouse wheel scrolling onto LeftStripe and RightStripe. Default setting: xsetwacom set "Wacom Intuos3 6x11 Pad pad" StripLeftUp button 4 xsetwacom set "Wacom Intuos3 6x11 Pad pad" StripLeftDown button 5 The only workaround here is mapping both stripes to "key up" and "key down".
Further details: Device: Wacom Intuos3 A5 wide Bus 003 Device 012: ID 056a:00b5 Wacom Co., Ltd Intuos3 6x11 (PTZ-631W) Ubuntu Linux 16.04.2 LTS 64bit
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled). If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version, then please follow https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines and create a new bug report at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control-center/-/issues/ Thank you for your understanding and your help.
