Description Miłosz Kosobucki 2017-02-15 11:01:46 UTC
I tried setting up my Microsoft Account in Settings -> Online Accounts.

After the sing-in page opened, I tried to paste my password copied from KeePass.

Unfortunately, no method of pasting worked, Ctrl+V, middle mouse button, nothing.

I had to type-in my password manually, and this was quite cumbersome considering it has 30 characters.

Same here with Keepassx.

What works is to put the password from Keepass(x) to a text editor and then copy and paste it from there to online account settings (so you do not have to type the pw manually).

No solution, I know, but a workaround.

Anyone working on this bug?

Comment 3 Bob 2018-03-03 17:27:07 UTC
Same for Google accounts. Cannot paste username/email and password. As far as I recall it used to work before.
Comment 4 con.m.keating 2018-03-22 01:05:10 UTC
Still present as of release 3.26.2-1 on Arch Linux.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-online-accounts/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
