Capital gain/loss transactions, if they exist, should not be hidden from the 'Splits free' and 'Splits in Lot' panels.
It is important to know if the capital gain transaction(s) already exist.
Wether they show could be controlled by another screen option "Show capital gain/loss splits" like the existing "Show only open lots" option so that in the case where there are many manually entered capital gain/loss transactions, the 'Splits free' panel is not swamped.

It would also be nice to be able to assign a manually entered gain/loss transaction to an existing lot.
