sample xlsx file

When opening an xlsx file Gnumeric appears to synthesize a default header and footer even if no such header and footer existed in the xlsx file.

I have attached a sample file created in Excel 2013. In Excel 2013 when previewed this file does not have a header or footer. When loaded into Gnuemric the preview shows the default header and footer.

Right. And the cause is obvious in hindsight.

This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Once that release is available, you may want to check for a software upgrade provided by your Linux distribution.
