Description ulrik sverdrup 2017-02-05 18:31:01 UTC
Kupfer has stood still for a long time.

https://git.gnome.org//browse/kupfer/

It has finally been updated ( https://kupferlauncher.github.io/ ) but it is not really a gnome project. I think it does best outside, even though we are ultimately allied with GNOME’s goals of free software and usability.

I don't seem to have the right password for my account usverdrup or even the right ssh key (although that's strange. I would have pushed to update the repo if I could). I'd request you to close the kupfer git repo and the kupfer module in GNOME anyway.

Regards.

Thanks for the report!

What is the "module"? Do you refer to jhbuild modulesets?

(Note to anybody: Archiving the Git repo also means archiving https://l10n.gnome.org/module/kupfer/ for translators)

About modules, I don't know, it's five years and more since I set it up, so I don't know how gnome refers to projects they host.

Losing connection to translation and help translation teams would be the worst impact, but it's for the best, since it is not a real gnome project.

Git module has been archived. Passing to damned-lies maintainers for dealing with the damned-lies module.
Comment 4 Claude Paroz 2017-02-07 18:53:12 UTC
Thanks for the notice, it has been set as archived in l10n.gnome.org.

Thank you. I have to say, coming back to Gtk and related APIs after this time a lot improved; you've done good job on GNOME and underlying technologies.
