GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 778095
"Preparing to import photos" is actually importing photos
Last modified: 2021-05-19 15:02:40 UTC
Created attachment 344803 [details] Output log I recently upgraded to shotwell 0.24.5 in Ubuntu 16.10. When I do "Import all" from a plugged device, it keeps saying "Preparing to import" but it's actually importing them, as I can see the disk being used. (see attachment of screenshot). When it ends "preparing import", it displays the resume dialog, enumerating duplicated, imported and not imported and go to "Last import" tab. (see attachment of screenshot) I've attached also a log of the an import with export SHOTWELL_LOG=1, but I think it doesn't clarify anything since that log hadn't got updated during import.
Created attachment 344804 [details] "Preparing import" but it's actually importing.
Created attachment 344805 [details] Import complete dialog
Created attachment 344808 [details] Import log generated by Shotwell
Created attachment 344809 [details] Output log Re-uploaded since in the former log I did press import, but It didn't find any new picture to import so it imported nothing.
I think this is improved in master or perhaps 0.26
