Description Allan Day 2017-02-02 15:05:58 UTC
I have the Spotify flatpak installed. When I double click the Spotify flatpakref and open it with Software, it shows me the app as if it hasn't already been installed - I just get an "Install" button.

Installing the same flatpakref from the command line, flatpak correctly tells me that it is already installed.

I just tried this again.

I had spotify installed system-wide. Clicking on the flatpakref did make gnome-software install it again, per-user. I am not sure if that is expected. I would prefer if we had more awareness of system-wide installs and told the user that the app is already available.

But clicking on the flatpakref file one more time did not install it again, and offered me to launch it right away.

Allan, was your situation also system-wide vs per-user ?

Sorry, I only just saw this and no longer have the install where the issue was happening.

Opening a flatpakref for an app that is already installed works as expected now.
