Description Matthew Pounsett 2017-01-30 17:25:05 UTC
When a user references an account in the ledger that does not exist, GnuCash asks if the user would like to create the account. The request "would you like to create.." dialogue is displayed twice regardless of the answer given, and the account creation dialogue is displayed once for every "yes" response to the request dialogue.

Attempting to complete the account creation dialogue more than once correctly errors out.

If the new accounts are two levels deep (e.g. Expenses:Nonexistant Placeholder:Nonexistant Subaccount) the double request seems to only be issued for the first level (Nonexistant Placeholder, in this example).

This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Once that release is available, you may want to check for a software upgrade provided by your Linux distribution.
