Description:
On Redhat 7.2/Dell Inspiron 8100 notebook

The first time GNOME is started after the computer starts, the panel crashes with a segmentation fault.  After it crashes, restarting the panel reports no problems and functions normally.  Subsequent starting of GNOME will also perform normally, until the computer is rebooted again.

Its been said that if you upgrade both gnome-core and gnome-libs to
the latest version these problems disappear.
