GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 777626
"Rename imported files to lowercase" should rename both files in case of RAW+JPEG
Last modified: 2017-08-24 18:07:50 UTC
When the option "Rename imported files to lowercase" is enabled, then Shotwell only convert the RAW file to lowercase, not the JPEG.
Files on the SD-card
Files after importing into Shotwell
The JPEG file should also be renamed to lower case.
Whats the benefit:
* If you edit the RAW with Darktable and export the JPEG again, then Darktable uses 'jpg' in lower case as extension. Shotwell does not recognize this file. If Shotwell converts both file types to lower case, then Darktable can overwrite the jpeg and Shotwell can recognize it.
This will be a small improvement when using Shotwell as a photo manager and Darktable for RAW development.
