I have found that after switching from Xorg to Wayland via the login screen on Ubuntu GNOME 16.10 with GNOME 3.22 that the "Show location of pointer" gnome-tweak-tool option no longer functions in the sense that when the setting is on and I press CTRL nothing happens.

I originally reported this issue here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1652179 But thought I should also do so upstream. Further system information is provided by Apport in the downstream report.
